Hey Everyone, my name is Dan Jezierski!  I'm from a small town in Connecticut called Thompson.  I'm a commuter here at Nichols and so far am In love with the school.  I went to a private high school in Uncasville, Connecticut which for those of you have not heard of Uncasville my school was right next to Mohegan Sun.  While I was in High School, I was heavily involved in Student Council and in my Junior year, I became president.  I loved working on planning out functions such as dances, pep rallies, and fundraisers.
So I chose Nichols because it was a great business school and I want to go into business.  Im not yet sure what I want to do in business yet but I've narrowed it down to Accounting Finance, and Economics.  I think Economics interests me the most because I like the study of how different factors affect the market and how it effects the average American.  So even though I don't know my exact major yet, I still see myself working in a large company in a big city.

One of things I admire most is seeing someone come from nothing or just from average means and rise up be extremely successful.  All these young entrepreneurs  are truly inspirational and are rolemodels for all young people.  The person I found most inetresting was Glen Nothnagel who founded sellbackyourbook.com.  Glen dropped out of the College of DuPage at the age of 20 and started a small company that bought used textbooks and resold them.  Glen saw college kids frustration with the high costs of textbooks which im sure we can all relate to that.   Glen took a risk by investing $2,000 of his own money to lease a warehouse and took his very simple idea to buy and sell used textbooks and made it a reality. since made millions with $4 million in revenue in 2010. As of right now, Glen's company of 12 employees makes most of their money from textbooks but also buys and sells CD's, DVD's, graphing calculators, and video games.  Glen plans to eventually expand to buying and selling electronics such as cell phones, tablets, and e-readers.  The reason I picked Glen was because I admire how he had an idea, took a risk, and has been extremly successful.
