Hi Emily, I found that your presentation had a lot of good information. It’s awesome that your fathers company has been in business so long and having its ownership as a c corporation. When looking up what c corporation meant I found, “common type of corporation, which is a legal business entity that offers limited liability to all owners, who are called stockholders” (Kelly/McGowen 2012). I enjoyed learning about how to have an auto body place and how you have to follow certain rules and regulations, and cause a change or improvement from time to time. For the challenges I think it’s important to share how your surrounding area could affect business and provide you with obstacles you must face. These are all very good factors to consider when starting/running a business. I feel like in many businesses customer satisfaction is key though I would imagine in some businesses it seems more important than others. People need their cars to get places, so if there is a problem, it’s important to get it adjusted to appropriately fix the customer’s needs. Overall I feel as though your PowerPoint could be informative to those trying to start up their own business. Also I find it cool when reading these to discover different businesses that I wouldn’t necessarily think of the challenges that they may face.
