Hey Nick! This is a great presentation. I found it interesting how your mom and her friend decided to just leave it as a sole proprietorship under just your mom’s name. The company sounds like it would be very successful given the fact that everyone is trying to eat healthier and stretch every dollar. With many people having in the past buying their lunches at work now they can bring food from home instead of having to spend the money. Your mom and her friend must work very hard in order to keep this business running. “Successful entrepreneurs typically have confidence in their own ability to achieve.”(Kelly &McGowen 103) Your mom and her partner obviously have great confidence in their product. Given all the competition that is going into stores now days your mom must really have to pay attention to them in order to keep a competitive edge. Being a company that sells most of its product online, it must be difficult to find employees that want to travel all the time and keep themselves away from their families. It’s a shame that she decided to shut it down at the end of this year.
This is a really nice presentation!Lynn and your mother came up with a great idea. I personally never would have thought to make stylish lunch bags to appeal to women bringing lunch to work. Its a great idea too because she is right so many people are so health and money conscious now and if you bring your own lunch obviously you need a lunch bag. It is also very smart to do most of the work on-line that way they do not have to spend money on store space. The seasonality of the product must be very inconvenient for sales.
Hello, Nick. I find your presentation very nice. Posh Paks are a very good, unique idea. People never really thought of adults wanting stylish lunch bags that don't look like a middle school child's lunch bag. I was wondering how home-based businesses have great tax advantages, though. It's such a shame that she has decided to shut the business down at the end of this year. She had such a good idea. It must've taken a toll on your family though, her having to devote so much time into the business and not having much time to spend with you guys.
